So, I’ve been trying to incorporate more protein into my diet. I often find myself pretty tired and weak throughout the day and someone mentioned increasing my protein (a little!). As someone with kidney disease, you have to monitor your intake of protein, but you still have to make sure you are getting the recommended amount.
A lot of my friends have been eating protein pancakes. I love pancakes and while eggs are my go-to, it can get boring at times. I was mostly hesitant because I thought it would taste like protein powder and not Aunt Jemima’s. My friend mentioned that she tried Kodiak Cakes and really liked them! She made them for me one day and I was pleasantly surprised. While they aren’t the sweet buttery goodness of Aunt Jemima, they still have that pancake flavor. The best part about it is that you just need water to make them!
Yay to protein pancakes!
